There’s probably no better time to pen a note than a weekend that’s as free as the mind that’s writing in it. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided to call last drinks at the spacebar and wrap up my weekly coverage of everything from the ASX to Silicon Valley.
The four year journey started as an unexpected adventure, wherein my first edition (issued to 7 readers, no less) I wrote about how someone underage ordered booze on Afterpay, and I complained about printers. This ‘side project’ ended up being a four-year long passion-project, nurturing a community of 1000+ active weekly readers, 164 editions (or more, sometimes I forgot which edition I was up to and double-counted), over 400 trivia questions and a whopping 100,000 total readers across the board.
For me, it’s time for my next edition - which happens to be across the globe at a Fintech in London. I’m taking off in a few weeks and can’t wait to realise a lifelong dream of heading back to the Motherland, imbibing Earl Grey and saying ‘innit.
Although it’s hard to wrap things up, I’m incredibly excited about this new chapter and what the future holds. I hope that this has been an enjoyable read, a conversation starter, and a conundrum creator. Content will still be flowing on my LinkedIn if you want to reach out - carpe DM (or email) - they’re always open.
It goes without saying that it was you, as a reader, that made writing this so enjoyable.
